(MADISON, WI) – A report released last week by the  National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization [NHPCO] shows that more than  35 percent (35.4) of patients served by hospices in 2008 died or were discharged  in seven days or less. This reflects a 4.6 percent increase from 2007, when 30.8  percent of patients had what is considered a short hospice experience.

The HOG chapter raised $2,000.00 through poker run registrations, silent auctions, canister drawings, a 50/50 drawing and a kiss-the-pig-contest.
