(MADISON, WI) – Due to growth in referrals and patient census, HospiceCare Inc. is pleased to announce the internal reorganization of its clinical and non-clinical leadership, resulting in the promotion of six staff members. The following leaders were promoted: Sarah Bealles, Deirdre Youngs, Kelly Fischer, Jane Quinn, Lisa Sherven and Ron Galdes.
Bealles has been promoted to the new role of executive vice president/chief financial officer. In this role, she will oversee the finance, facility operations and information technology departments. Bealles has been with HospiceCare since December 2005, most recently as the chief financial officer.
Youngs has been promoted to the director of general inpatient care. In this role, she will oversee the operations of the HospiceCare inpatient unit. Youngs has been with HospiceCare since October of 1999, most recently as director of the in-home program and clinical practice.
Fischer has been promoted to director of home care. In this position, she will assume leadership responsibility for the in-home teams and continue to lead the long-term care teams. Fisher has been with HospiceCare since April 2002, most recently as the director of long term care partners team.
Sherven has been promoted to director of access. In this role, she will assume leadership of the 24/7 and crisis care teams, as she continues to lead the admissions team. Sherven has been with HospiceCare since May 2000, most recently as director of admissions and clinical outreach.
Quinn has been named as vice president of regional services, education and research. In this role, she will work with community health partners in education and research projects, lead process improvement projects and will be working with teams to integrate the Baldrige Award criteria into the daily work of HospiceCare. Quinn has been with HospiceCare since June 1992, most recently as vice president of HospiceCare’s RockCounty location.
Galdes has been promoted to director of facility support services. In this role, he will lead the facilities operations, purchasing and distribution and food services teams. Galdes has been with HospiceCare since July 2006, most recently as physical plant manager.

Culver’s Scoopie Night to Benefit HospiceCare Inc.
(JANESVILLE, WI) – On Wednesday, October 28, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Culver’s is holding Culver’s Scoopie Night to benefit HospiceCare Inc. at the 2633 Milton Avenue location in Janesville. Ten percent of the proceeds raised from food and ice cream sales during these four hours will be donated to HospiceCare Inc. in support of patients with life-limiting illnesses. HOG Poker Run Raises $4,000 for HospiceCare Inc.
(JANESVILLE, WI) – On August 16 the South Central Wisconsin Harley Owners Group (HOG), Chapter 5547, held a Poker Run fundraiser for HospiceCare, Inc, 3001 W. Memorial Drive in Janesville. The HOG chapter raised $2,000.00 through poker run registrations, silent auctions, canister drawings, a 50/50 drawing and a kiss-the-pig-contest. The chapter voted to donate an additional $2,000.00 for a total of $4,000.00 going to Hospice Care Inc.

HospiceCare Inc. Promotes Five Staff Members
(MADISON, WI) – HospiceCare Inc. is pleased to announce that growth in referrals and patient census has allowed the promotion of five talented staff members: Pam Peterson, Shawnee Parsil, Heidi Kramer, Cheri Milton and Kellee Hanson.
Peterson has been promoted to vice president of employee services. In this role, she oversees all phases of the Employee Services, Learning and Development and Volunteer Services functions at HospiceCare Inc. and serves as a key business partner and advisor to the HospiceCare board and executive leadership teams. Peterson has been with HospiceCare since November 2005, most recently as director of employee and volunteer services.
As director of patient/family supportive services, Parsil leads the Volunteer and Grief Services departments and represents these groups at the executive level. Parsil has been with HospiceCare since March 2005, most recently as Director of Volunteer Services.
As director of strategy and administrative governance, Kramer collaborates with senior leaders to manage major strategic planning projects from definition of scope to final implementation, as well as supporting board efforts for effective governance practices. Kramer has been with HospiceCare since October 2005.
As Grief Services Manager, Milton manages and supervises the grief counselors for HospiceCare Inc. who provide support to HospiceCare patients and families and oversees the scheduling of community grief groups and events. Milton has been with HospiceCare since December 2007, most recently as a grief counselor. Milton holds a certificate in Thanatology, the study of death and dying.
As manager of volunteer services, Hanson oversees the Volunteer Services Department, including volunteer programs in the Dane and Rock counties. Hanson has been with HospiceCare since October 2007, most recently as the inpatient unit volunteer coordinator.

HospiceCare to Offer Young Adult Grief Support Group Series on University of Wisconsin–Madison Campus
(MADISON, WI) – In September, HospiceCare Inc. will begin a Young Adult Grief Support Group series. This group is designed for those who are age 18 – 30 and have experienced a loss due to death. Participants will receive support and information about the grieving process. The group begins Tuesday, October 6 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and will meet eight consecutive weeks, concluding Tuesday, November 24. The group will meet on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus, exact location TBD.
